Head-On Car Accident Sends 5 Montanans to Hospital

October 12, 2018

According to the Missoulian, the southbound lanes of Reserve Street at South Avenue were closed until 5 p.m. Thursday after a head-on car accident that sent five people to the hospital. According to reports to police, the car accident was caused by a truck going north in the southbound lanes and colliding head-on with a car.

Three people were in the car and two were in the truck; all were taken to local hospitals. The car crash occurred near the intersection of Benton Avenue.  Southbound traffic was diverted off Reserve onto South Avenue while police investigated the car accident. The traffic was not stopped on the northbound lanes of Reserve.
