According to the Helena Independent Record, an 84-year-old Montana man who died after a rollover car accident Thursday on the interstate east of Lockwood has been identified as Grant Miller, of Crow Agency.
Miller was pronounced dead at St. Vincent Healthcare about an hour after the car accident was reported at 12:15 p.m., Yellowstone County Assistant Coroner Rich Hoffman said Tuesday. He died from blunt-force trauma sustained in the car accident.
Miller had been the passenger in the car and succumbed to his injuries as he was being airlifted to the hospital, according to the Montana Highway Patrol's crash narrative. The single-car accident also injured the woman driving the car, but details on her medical condition were not available from the MHP report.
Neither of the victims were wearing seat belts, according to MHP. The woman driving the car may have been asleep before over-correcting, going off the roadway and rolling through a fence along I-90 near mile marker 462, according to MHP.
